- Margaret ?Honeybunch? Flynn, 95, of 52 D Glenn Meade Drive Portsmouth died Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Flynn. Born in Menominee, Michigan on October 2, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mame Frances Pangborn Nugent. Mrs. Flynn graduated as a registerd nurse in 1926 from St. Marys Hospital School of Nursing Rochester, Minnesota. Mrs Flynn received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Columbia University Teachers College in New York City, and was a Pioneer in the field of public health nursing, having worked for the Henry Street Settlement in New York City. She went on to become a nursing instructor at the Rhode Island School of Practical Nursing Providence, Rhode Island and eventually became a supervisor of nursing at the former Providence Lying-In Hospital. Mrs. Flynn had been active in the Senior Citizens groups in Portsmouth and North Providence. She is survived by three daughters Barbara McNeilly of Portsmouth, RI, Maggi Picard of Peterborough, NH, and Nancy Flynn of Pawtucket, RI, five grandchildren, and one greatgrandson. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, September, 18, 2002, at 9:00 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
