Hanlon Kearney, 72, of 27 Colonel Christopher Greene Road, Portsmouth, formerly of 45 Springdale Avenue, Waterbury, CT, died Saturday, December 18, 2004 at home.She was the wife of 47 years, of the late James F. Kearney. Born in Waterbury, CT on June 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Joyce Hanlon. Mrs. Kearney had worked as an appointment co-ordinator for the Newport Naval Hospital, Newport, RI, for 10 years, retirng in 1996. She had also worked at Colonial Bank in Chesire, CT, as a customer service representative for 10 years. Mrs. Kearney had also worked for the foster grandparent association of Connecticut. She was a Communicant of St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth, and while in Connecticut a Communicant of Blessed Sacrement Church, Waterbury, CT. She is survived by a son Edward Francis Kearney of Portsmouth, RI, three daughters Margaret Eileen Kearney of Milford, MA, Maureen Kearney-Taub of Niskayuna, NY, and Patricia Kearney-Pacheco of New Milford, CT, 5 Grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews, many grand nieces and grand nephews, and many cousins. She was also the mother of the late James Thomas Kearney, and sister of the late Edward J. Hanlon. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2004, at 9:00AM, from the Casey ODonnell Funeral Home, 1581 East Main Street, Waterbury, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, in Blessed Sacrement Church, 182 Robbins Street, Waterbury, CT. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Rhode Island Chapter, Airport Office Park, 2348 Post Road Suite 104, Warwick, RI 02886.
