Portsmouth, RI - Margaret P McDonald, 87, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of the late Thomas G McDonald.Born in Fall River, MA on Feb. 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Quinn Murphy.Mrs. McDonald loved playing cards, especially the game pitch, and was an avid bowler in her younger days. She also loved gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters Karen Durfee of Tiverton, RI, and Colleen B. McDonald-Ginter and her husband Robert, of Harwinton, CT, sons Michael T McDonald and his wife MaryBeth, of Portsmouth, RI and John F McDonald and his wife Laurie of Middletown, RI, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her son Thomas Patrick McDonald. Her funeral will be held on Friday January 14, 2011 at 10 am in the Connors Funeral Home.Burial will be in Our Lady Of Fatima Cemetery in Little Compton.Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm .at Connors Funeral home 55 West Main Road Portsmouth, R.I.
