Margery (Hearson) McFarland, 77, of Tiverton died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Walter McFarland.Born on January 13, 1935 in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hildur (Sleeper) Hearson. Mrs. McFarland worked as a Registrar at St. Georges School for 18 years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star and the Rainbow Girls. Besides her husband of 57 years, she is survived by her children, Michael McFarland, David McFarland and Carol Gomes and her grandchildren, Meghan Gomes, Joshua Gomes and Zachary Gomes. Calling hours will be held on, Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 5-9PM, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 1pm, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.
