Middletown, RI - Marguerite A. Peckham, 97, of 1312 Wapping Road, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. Born in Middletown, RI on August 26, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Patterson Peckham.Marguerite was a librarian at the Redwood Library for 20 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Columba Berkeley Memorial Chapel. Marguerite was an avid reader and gardener and she loved doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her nephew Robert A .Peckham, Jr., of Tequesta, FL and her niece Anne P. Hanscom of Middletown, RI.She was the sister of the late Robert A. Peckham and Russell Peckham.A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008, at 10:00am, in St. Columba Berkeley Churchyard, Vaucluse Avenue, Middletown. Calling hours are omitted.
