Marguerite Rose Fitzgerald

Newport, RI - Marguerite Rose Lupien Fitzgerald, 89, of Heatherwood Nursing Home, Newport, RI, formerly of West House, Midletown, RI, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late James Francis Fitzgerald. Born in Malden, MA on March 7, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise LaViolette Lupien. Mrs. Fitzgerald worked as a secretary for the Newport School Department, at Underwood School and Rogers High School for 15 years. Mrs. Fitzgerald was known by family and friends as a gourmet cook. In addition to spending time with her family, there was nothing she liked better than reading a good book or going to Second Beach. She is survived by her son William M. Fitzgerald of Portsmouth, RI, her daughters Maureen Wheeler of Littleton, CO, Paula Silvia of Middletown, RI, and Nancy Fitzgerald of Portsmouth, RI, her grandchildren; Michael and Erin Wheeler of Littleton, CO, Corinne and Gregory Silvia of Middletown, RI, Aaron and Devin Coite of Portsmouth, RI, Meredith Fitzgerald of Portsmouth, RI, and her great granddaughter Leila Wheeler. She was the sister of the late Elmer Lupien, Virginia Lupien and Beatrice Viens. Funeral services will be private.
