Marguerite Tondreau Davey

Middletown, RI - Marguerite Peg Jean Tondreau Davey, 75, of 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.Born in Providence, RI on April 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Eugene John and Marguerite Langevin Tondreau.Mrs. Davey was a supervisor for over 25 years at NUSC on the Newport Naval Base. She retired after a long and distinguished service career, having received numerous awards and commendations for exemplary service to the U.S. Navy. She was a former member of St. Lucys Church and was an avid reader, always having a book in her hands. She is survived by her cousin Elizabeth Anne Marshall of Providence, RI and two second cousins, Debora Lynn Marshall and Elaine Marie Marshall, both of Providence.She was the mother of the late John R. Davey, III.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 11:00 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be private.Donations in her memory may be made to the Robert Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.
