Amerina Marie Bridget Hostetler, of 75 Intrepid Lane Jamestown, formerly of Middletown, RI And Woburn, MA, died Friday, December 16, 2005 in North Kingstown, RI.Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ada Negri.Amarina Negri left Italy as an infant, along with her family, settling in Woburn, MA. There she grew up and graduated from Woburn High School, after which she attended, and graduated from St. Joseph?s Nursing School. She then entered the US Navy Nurses Corps serving for several years, rising to the rank of Lt JG. Shortly after leaving the Navy, she married, and moved to Newport. She worked as an RN, and retired at Newport Hospital. Later she moved to Slate Hill Farm in Middletown where her children grew up. She continued working as a nurse until 1999. She was a dedicated medical professional, but her passion was caring for her children, and later her grandchildren. She is survived by a son Dean Hostetler of Portsmouth, RI, and a daughter Andrea vonHohenleiten of Jamestown, RI, a brother Domenic Negri of Woburn, MA, and three sisters Bruna Nickerson, Mary Negri, and Eleanor Negri all of Woburn, MA, five grandchildren, grandaughters Courtney Hostetler, Devon Hostetler, and Caitlin Hostetler all of Portsmouth, RI, and grandsons Chris vonHohenleiten and Eric vonHohenleiten both of Jamestown, RI, and her former husband Dean Hostetler of Portsmouth, RI. Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 22, 2005, at 1:00 PM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
