Marie Jeannette Fortin Charette Newport, RI - Marie Jeannette Fortin Charette, 87, of 70 Harrison Avenue, Newport, formerly of Wyandotte, Mich. and East Hartford, CT, died Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at Village House Nursing Home, Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Noel Charette. Born in Frenchville, Maine, on May 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Willie Fortin and the late Marie Michaud Fortin. She is survived by two sons Clifford N. Charette of Middletown, RI, and Robert E. Charette of Riverview, MI, a daughter Carolyne A. Spence of Wyandotte, MI, two sisters Rinette Chasse of Stonington, CT, and Marcella Mooney of Jacksonville, FL, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert Fortin, and sisters Catherine Jandreau, Bertha Gagnon, and Claire Dupont. Her funeral and burial will be private.
