Marie Louise Bernice Rollins

Bernice McCormack Rollins?Bunny? on Thursday, January 11, 2007, formerly of Orange, Connecticut and Rutland, Vermont, at the John Clarke Nursing and Retirement Center in Middletown, Rhode Island. She was born on February 18, 1920 in Fort Kent, Maine. Over the years, she was an avid volunteer of many community organizations including the PTA, Lions Club, and Girl Scouts of America. Special interests included skiing in Vermont, golf and bridge club. Her religious strength was enormous and an inspiration. She was a loving and kind person and will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. Bunny was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence Rollins, her brother Frank McCormack, and sister Phyllis McCormack. Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Rollins and his wife Susan of Providence, Rhode Island and Robert Rollins and his wife Cheryl of Whitesboro, NY; a daughter, Jane Holland and her husband Charles of Reston, VA; five grandchildren, Andrew and Michael Holland, Robert and Caitlin Rollins, and Aimee Rollins Goetz, one great-grandchild, Braeden Goetz, and a host of other relatives and friends.The family would like to thank the John Clarke Nursing and Retirement Center staff for the compassion and care that was given to their mother. A private memorial service is planned for Thursday, January 18 in Whitesboro, New York, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
