Marion B. Munch

Portsmouth, RI - Marion B. (Sickinger) Munch, of Portsmouth, died on December 27, 2013 at the Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown.She was the wife of the late Frank Robert Munch.Born in Jersey City, NJ, on January 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Albert Sickinger and Minnie (Tiedemann) Sickinger and step-daughter of the late Lillian Sickinger. Mrs. Munch was a graduate of New Jersey State Teachers College. She was an elementary teacher for 25 years at Hathaway School in Portsmouth. She was very active in the Portsmouth United Methodist Church and Portsmouth Historical Society. She was also an accomplished doll maker and an extraordinary seamstress. She is survived by her son Richard Munch and his wife Jill of Portsmouth, RI; her daughter Ruth Boehne and her husband Gregg of Gettysburg, PA; and her granddaughters, Kara Boehne and Kathryn Barnes and her husband Brett.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 31, at 10 a.m. in the Portsmouth United Methodist Church, 2732 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth.
