Middletown, RI - Marjorie Cecelia Bywater Cicerone, 89, of John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, formerly of Rogers Lane, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at John Clarke Nursing Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Fiorindo ?Fred? Cicerone. Born in Birmingham, England, on September 26, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Shaw Bywater.Mrs. Cicerone was a member of the Evangelical Friends Church in Middletown. She was an avid gardener. Mrs. Cicerone won first prize for seven consecutive years from the Newport Horticultural Society for her flower gardens. She also won many awards for her flower arrangements in the Newport Festival of Flowers. Mrs. Cicerone and her husband were the owners of the Newport Beach House, a tourist home for many years. She is survived by two daughters Beverly Baker of Middletown, RI, and Elaine Rodericks of Warwick, RI, her brother Norman Hay of North Kingstown, RI, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Irene Degnan and Elsie Ingham. Her funeral will be held on Monday, June 14, 2004, at 10:00AM, in Evangelical Friends Church, 70 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.Donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Service of Newport and Bristol County, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
