Marjorie (Hopkins) Webster Williams, 87, formerly of Pond Avenue, Newport, RI, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the John Clarke Nursing Retirement Center in Middletown.She was the wife of the late Joe M. Williams.Born in Newport, RI on November 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Sullivan) Hopkins and the sister of the late John and Thomas Hopkins.Mrs. Williams was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. In her earlier years, she attended St. Joseph's Church in Newport.She is survived by her daughter, Donna Williams of Newport, RI; her sister-in-law, Dottie Hopkins of Newport, RI; her nieces and nephew, Margie Dunbar, Joan Hopkins, Dee-Dee Hopkins-Simon and Hoppy Hopkins; and several cousins.Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. in Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.Burial will follow in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the March of Dimes, RI Chapter, 220 W.
