Middletown, RI - Marjorie Rogers Sprague, 77, of Blenheim Newport, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Blenheim.She was the wife of the late Emory Skip Sprague who was the head of the History Department at Middletown High School. Born in Newport, RI on February 2, 1934, she was the only child of George and Molly Rogers.Margie was educated in the Newport School System. After graduating from Rogers High School she received her RN from the Newport Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. Margies nursing career included many years working at the Newport Hospital. She subsequently worked at the Forest Farm Nursing Home retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Newport Hospital Nursing Association. Margie has no known living relatives but was blessed with close friends who visited often with her at Blenheim. She leaves two godchildren with whom she was very close, Shannon Dugan and Nancy Wyatt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 9 am in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.Burial will follow in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.
