Marshall Conant

Newport, - Marshall Conant, 85, of Harrison Avenue Newport, died Monday, July 7, 2003 at Village House Newport, RI.He was the husband of the late Rose Souza Conant. Born in Washington, ME on March 22, 1918, he was the son of the late Clarence and Myrtle Peabody Conant. Mr. Conant was in the Army during World War II, serving at Fort Adams in Newport. He worked for several farms in Middletown and for the Middletown Public Works as a laborer until his retirement. Mr. Conant also worked as a landscaper for several private estates. He is survived by his son Steven Conant of Portsmouth, RI, his daughter in-law Jerilyn Conant of Portsmouth, RI, three grandsons Steven Conant of Morton, PA, Jason Conant of Portsmouth, RI, and Chris Truver of Tiverton, RI, his great grandson John Patrick Conant of Morton, PA and his great granddaughter Aelish Truver of Tiverton, RI.He was the brother of the late Merill Conant and Steven Conant.His services will be private.
