Middletown, RI - Martha E. Crouch Santos, 67, of 233 Morrison Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of Francis P. Santos. Born in San Diego, CA on November 17, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Arthur E. Crouch, Sr. and Ruth Burrell Crouch. Besides her husband of 12 years, she is survived by her children, Carrie and her husband Jeffrey Scott of Nashua, NH, Monica and her husband David Martins of Newport, RI, John and his wife Suzette Townsend of Middletown, RI, and Adam and his wife Sarah Townsend of Newport, RI. She was also predeceased by her daughter Amber Townsend. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alyssa and Catherine Scott, Will and Emma Martins, Benjamin Townsend, and Charles Townsend.She is survived by her brother Arthur E. Crouch, Jr. and predeceased by her brother Allen Crouch.Martha was a fun-loving and passionate about her family and friends. Her infectious laugh and warm smile made her a free spirit. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, devoting her self to them. She was a dedicated nursing assistant for the Child and Family Services agency in Middletown, RI. Martha was a proud member of the First Presbyterian Church.A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at 2:00pm, in First Presbyterian Church. The church is located on Broadway on the corner of Everett Street in Newport, RI. Following the memorial service a reception will be hosted by the Deacons of the church in the Fellowship Hall. Donations and flowers may be send in her memory to the First Presbyterian Church, 4 Everett Street, Newport.
