Ferrell, 70, of 36 Kerr Road Portsmouth, and Bidwell, Ohio, died Friday, January 2, 2004 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI. He was the husband of Lydia Ferreira Ferrell. Born in Delburton, West, Virginia on August 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elitha Curry Ferrell. Mr. Ferrell worked at Raytheon for 16 years, retiring in 1977 in the maintenance department. After his discharge from the military in 1955 he worked in Conn and also Ohio. He returned to Portsmouth, Rhode Island in 1964 and worked for the Seliga Fence Company and then at Rayheon until his retirement. He them purchased the family farm in Bidwell Ohio.Mr. Ferrell was a member of the 32nd degree member Eureka Masonic Lodge in Portsmouth. He was also a member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club, and the Portugese American Citizens Club. He is survived by his wife Lydia Ferrell of Portsmouth, RI, 4 sons Marvin D. Ferrell Jr. of Middletown, RI , Gary D. Ferrell of Little Compton, RI, Roy Ferrell of Tiverton, RI, John Ferrell of Tiverton, RI, and 2 daughters Carolann Silvia of Portsmouth, RI, and Veronica Ferrell-Bellivue of Portsmouth, RI, 6 Brothers Thomas Ferrell of Delbarton, West Virginia, Samuel Ferrell of Bidwell, OH, Rev. Clyde Ferrell of Bidwell, OH, Cloyde Ferrell of Bidwell, OH, Rev. Bernard Ferrell Columbus, OH, and Herve Ferrell Bidwell, OH, and also 3 sisters Phlorine Campbell Charlestown, West VA, Velma Russell Bidwell, OH, and Lucinda White Columbus, OH., 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. His funeral will be held Monday, January 5, 2004 at 11:00am in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.
