Mary A. Beausoleil

Portsmouth, RI - Mary A. Makara Beausoleil, 88, of 498 Park Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Leo R. Beausoleil. Born in Fall River, MA on September 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Sophie Pzys Makara.Mrs. Beausoleil worked as a seamstress for various textile shops for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Portsmouth Multi Senior Center, the ILGWU Seamstress Union and loved flowering, sewing, country and polish music. She is survived by her sons, John Beausoleil of Newport, RI and Joseph Beausoleil of Erie, PA, her daughter, Donna Hetland of Middletown, RI, her brother, Joseph Makara of Norwich, CT, her sister, Stasia Dupruis of Fall River, MA, her grandchildren, Lois Beausoleil, Michael Beausoleil, Stephen Beausoleil, Christopher Beausoleil, Sheri Beausoleil, Heidi Hetland, Stephanie Thompson, Yvette Mrozik, Stephen Mrozik, and Kaitlyn Mrozik, and her great grandchildren, Joshua Beausoleil, Kaley Thompson, Destiny Beausoleil and Zachary Beausoleil. She was the sister of the late Walter Makara, Frances Clark, Ted Makara, and Valentina Makara, and the grandmother of the late Scott Tavernese. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 4-7 pm in the Connors Funeral Home.
