Mary A. Leonard, 99, of Newport died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Newport Hospital.Born on February 25, 1913, in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Arnoldo and Maria (Silvia) Oliveira. She was the wife of the late George Leonard.Mary worked as an assembler for the former General Electric Company, retiring in 1973. She is survived by her son George Leonard, his daughter Kim and her son Benjamin. She was the mother of the late Lillian E. Meyer and is survived by her children, Theresa, Robert, Philip and Jamie. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2012, at 12PM at Middletown Cemetery, Turner and Wyatt Road, Middletown.
