Portsmouth, RI - Mary Angela (Kane) Harrington of Adams Drive in Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, May 12th 2015 at Atria Aquidneck Place in Portsmouth, RI.For 61 years, she was the loving wife of Attorney John J. Harrington, who preceded her in death on January 15th, 2005.Born in Fall River, MA on December 14th, 1918, she was the youngest daughter of the late James Thomas Kane and Anne Mulligan Kane.Mrs. Harrington was a 1936 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, MA. Upon graduation, she was a valued employee of the phone company in Fall River for several years. She was a communicant of St. Barnabas Church in Portsmouth.Mary was a loving and loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by her son, John J. Harrington (Lauren) of Medfield, MA, her son, James K. Harrington (Jean) of Bethel Park, PA, her son, William J. Harrington of Glendale, AZ, her son, Attorney Robert K. Harrington (Jacqueline) of Portsmouth, RI, her daughter, Dr. Mary Angela von der Lippe Jordan (James) of Portsmouth, RI, her granddaughter, Attorney Jennifer J. Harrington (Jason Galego) of Norton, MA, her granddaughter, Attorney Jill K. Harrington of Bethel Park, PA, her grandson, Christopher C. von der Lippe of Bedford, NH, her grandson, Peter J. Harrington (Meaghan) of Boston, MA, her grandson, Robert J. Harrington of Portsmouth, RI, her granddaughter, Christiane H. Harrington of Portsmouth, RI, her great-granddaughter, Jessica J. Galego of Norton, MA, her great-grandson, Justin J. Galego of Norton, MA and her great-granddaughter, Nora T. Harrington of Boston, MA.Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James H. Kane and John F. Kane and her sisters, Margaret Kane Reilly, Marion Kane, Anna Kane McDowell and Katherine Kane.Visiting hours will be Monday, May 18th, 2015 from 4 to 7pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
