Mary Beth (Hughes) Borden

Mary Beth (Hughes) Borden, 66, of Portsmouth passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Edward R. Borden for 43 years. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adrian J. and Muriel (Pollitt) Hughes.Mary Beth was a school aide for the Portsmouth School System for 21 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed crafts with her friends at Ginger Lee and was an avid painter. A devout Catholic, she was a woman of great faith with a special devotion to St. Jude.She was the loving mother of Jason E. Borden of Portsmouth, Kane E. Borden and his girlfriend Emily Casey of Noank, CT and Jennifer P. Borden and her husband John Endrusick of Portsmouth. Her greatest joy was being a devoted nana to her only grandson Jonah. She is also survived by her twin brother Michael Hughes of East Providence, her dear friend Ruth E. Cote of Portsmouth and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
