Mary Concetta Demessianos, 87, of 80 Briarwood Avenue, Apt#4 Middletown, formerly of 262 Gibbs Avenue, Newport, died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Alexander D. Demessianos. Born in Newport, RI on June 8, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta Paranzino Nardelli and she was also the foster child of the lateVito and Rachel Biello. Mrs. Demessianos worked at the Newport Naval Base as a contract administrator in the public works departmen for more then 30 years. She was a member of St. Spyridons Greek Orthodox Church. Mrs. Demessianos was a member of Daughters of Penelope, a former past president and a member for over fifty years. Mrs. Demessianos was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, she attended Forest Farm Day Care. She enjoyed traveling throught Europe and the mid East. Mrs. Demessianos was an avid baker and enjoyed making goods for church functions and social events. She is survived by her two sons Dennis M. Demessianos of Newport, RI; and Paul A. Demessianos of Key West, FL, and her daughter Helen Schuarger of Rockledge, FL, 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mathew Nardelli, Carmella Antenellis and Louise Forte. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport at 10:30 am to St. Spyridon?s Greek Orthodox Church, 390 Thames Street, Newport, RI. For Services at 11:00 am.Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery, Turner Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI.
