Middletown, RI ? Mary Madden Donaldson, 58, of 10 Rego Road, Middletown, RI, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of David Stewart Donaldson. Born in Providence, RI, on October 20, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Florence McKenna Madden.Mrs. Donaldson was a 1971 graduate of Salve Regina College. She was a teachers aide for the past 20 years last working at Kennedy School. Prior to Kennedy school she worked as a teachers aide for the Middletown School Department in the Gifted Program. Mrs. Donaldson dedicated her life to taking care of and nurturing children. She was a member of NEA and served on many boards with the Middletown School Department and also served as secretary for the local teachers assitance union. Mrs. Donaldson was always involved with all of the PTAS, T-Ball coaching and team mother with the Middletown Little League. She attended St. Georges church where she was a Sunday School teacher. In her spare time Mrs. Donaldson was an avid gardener and reader. Besides her husband of 35 years, she is survived by her children Ryan B. Donaldson of Middletown, RI, Shane P. Donaldson and his wife Kate M. of North Kingstown, RI, Tara M. Donaldson and Megan M. Donaldson both of Middletown, RI, and her brothers Bernard Madden of Sacremento, CA, and Michael Madden of Worcester, MA. She was the sister of the late Neil Madden. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006, at 10:00a.m., in Channing Memorial Church, 135 Pelham Street, Newport. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Meeting Street School, 667 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.
