Mary E. Caraway

Mary E. (Silvia) Caraway, 94 of Middletown died peacefully at home on Friday, May 16, 2014. She was the wife of the late John F. Caraway.Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Olivia (Ferris) Silvia.Mary loved to knit and crochet scarfs, blankets, booties, hats and stuffed animals. She loved doing things for people. Mary was a devoted communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and always prayed for everyone good and bad.Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son John J. Caraway as well as her sister Agnes Marques and her brother Joseph Silvia.Mary is survived by her granddaughter Justine Palmer and three great grandchildren Brooke, Mason and Eli all of Georgia. She also leaves her loving sister and caregiver Helen Pimental, who will miss her every day. Mary leaves several cousins and friends.Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway at Vernon Avenue, Newport.
