Mary E Osborne

Mary E. Osborne, 82, of 34 Freeborn Street, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at home in Middletown, RI. Born in Newport, RI on Dec. 5, 1923, she was married to Kendall S. Osborne for 63 years.Mrs. Osborne was an active volunteer with the Middletown Little League and Babe Ruth League Baseball. She was also a member of the Middletown High School Boosters Club, the Newport Yacht Club, the Middletown Lions Club, and the Middletown Senior Center. Mary was an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting baby caps and finger puppets for the children at Newport Hospital. She is survived by her husband Kendall S. Osborne of Middletown, RI, a son Philip G. Osborne of Newport, RI, and a daughter Diane Martin of Taunton, MA, five grandchildren Tristan Osborne, Tyler Martin, Corey Martin, Noelle Butler, and Briana Gorfin and three great grandchildren Andrae Butler, Laila Butler, and Vienna Martin. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2006, at 3:00 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 1-3pm in the Memorial Funeral Home prior to the Memorial Service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Services Of Newport Bristol Cos, Hospice, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
