Born in Quincy, MA, on May 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Albert Goss and the late Margaret Kelleher Goss. Mrs. Murphy was a secretary with Raytheon Corporation in Portsmouth, RI. She was an avid bingo player and during the summer months she enjoyed going to the beach. Over the last five years she helped out at the Grand Islander Patient Activities Events wherever she was needed. She is survived by her daughters; Joan Michaud of Middletown, RI, and Margaret Karanikolas of Middletown, RI; her son, Joseph Murphy of Lincoln, RI ; her Grandaughters, Makena Murphy of Lincoln, RI, and Elena Karanikolas of Middletown, RI; her Grandsons Kevin Michaud of Middletown, RI, and Patrick Michaud of Middletown, RI. Her funeral will be private in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
