Manchester, NH - Mary Elizabeth Viveiros, 78, of 138 Ash Street, Manchester, NH, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Born in Newport, RI on July 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Francisca Perry Viveiros.Mary was a 1949 graduate of Rogers High School. For several years she worked in secretarial jobs for various government and private companies. Mary also taught Art classes for a short time in the Boston school system. She received her bachelors degree in Education from the Mass. College of Art in Brookline, in 1972. While living in New Hampshire she worked in advertising for the union Leader from 1977-1983 and participated in many different volunteer positions. Mary was a communicant of St. Josephs Cathedral in Manchester. Before her retirement, she spent three years working for Lockheed Sanders in Nashua, NH. She is survived by her brothers Marion A. Viveiros of Portsmouth, RI, Joseph P. Viveiros of Newport, RI, and Edward A. Viveiros of Wrightstown, NJ. She was also the sister of Manuel P. Viveiros, MIA Korean War, and the late John P. Viveiros Jr. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Barnabas Church, East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm in the Connors Funeral Home.
