Mary Ellen (Frazier) Espanola, 66, of Butterworth Drive, Warren, RI, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.She was the wife of Kenneth J. Espanola.Born on January 18, 1949, she was the daughter of Jane (Carr) Frazier of Middletown, RI and the late Vincent "Bud" Frazier.Mrs. Espanola was employed as a Registered Nurse at RI Hospital for 43 years, working in the SIC/Stepdown Unit for the majority of her career, finishing her last 10 years in the Kidney Transplant Department. She was a 1970 Diploma School graduate of RI Hospital and received her B.S.N. from Salve Regina University. She loved traveling and spending time at the beach buried in a novel.In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Dr. Matthew F. Espanola of Warren, RI and Kristen L. Espanola of Warren, RI; her three brothers, Michael Frazier and his wife, Nancy Laposta-Frazier, of Narragansett, RI, Pat Frazier and his wife, Sharon Katz-Frazier, of California, and Daniel Frazier and his fiance', Jodi Prucha, of Port Charlotte, FL; and her three nieces, Meghan, Katie and Alexandra Frazier.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.
