Mary Ellen Miller

Providence, RI - Mary Ellen Perry Miller, 65, of 80 Curtis Street Providence, formerly of 467 Olpihant Lane, Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at home. Born in Louisville, KY on March 25, 1939, she was the daughter of Agnes Alethea Brady Perry of Middletown, RI and the late Manuel F. Perry Jr. Ms. Miller was in the Rhode Island National Guard during the 1970s as a nurse. She had worked as a volunteer in soup kitchens for many years and at RIH as a nurse. Most recently she worked for the Oasis Treatment Center in Providence. Besides her mother she is survived by five brothers Manuel Farrea Perry III of Providence, RI, Frances Anthony Perry and Michael Arthur Xavier Perry both of Middletown, RI, Timothy Perry of Attleboro, MA, and Rev. John Patrick Perry of Indiana, her sister Dorothy Paquin of Columbia, CT, six nephews and three nieces.She was the sister of the late Louis B. Perry. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2004, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Donations in her memory may be made to the Christian Children?s Fund, 2821 Emerwood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294 or do a good deed in her memory.
