Middletown, RI - Mary F. Galvin Moore, 84, of 43 Ward Street, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Silver Creek Manor, Bristol, RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Moore. Born in Newport, RI on November 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Abbie Dwyer Galvin.Mrs. Moore was a clerk for the State Unemployment Office for 10 years, retiring in 1984 and also was a secretary for the Newport Naval Base. Mrs. Moore was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. She was a member of the Middletown Womans Democratic Club, the Chief Wives Club and the St. Josephs Mothers Club. Mrs. Moore enjoyed reading and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Joseph P. Moore and his wife Susan of Newport, RI, her daughters Mary E. Kilmer and her companion Michael Cambra of Tiverton, RI, Kathleen A. Moore of Middletown, RI, and Judith E. Surber and her husband Patrick of Newport, RI, her sister in law Mildred Moore of Glen Falls, NY, her grandchildren Gina Gallo, Megan Surber, Patrick Surber, Rachel Gallo, Jeffrey Kilmer and Bridget Moore.She was the mother of the late Joseph, Mary, Katherine and Patrick Moore and the sister of the late Katherine Kit Galvin and Mortimer Bud Galvin. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2007, at 8:00am, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, from 4-8pm in the funeral home.
