Mary Faria Botelho

Middletown, - Mary Faria Botelho, 92, of 23 Livingston Place, Middletown, died Saturday evening, March 6, 2004 at the St. Clare Home, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph Botelho. Born in Middletown, RI on April 6, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Frances Moitoza Faria. Mrs. Botelho was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and was a member and past secretary of the Rosary Sodality. She was a tireless maker of Malasada for events at the church. She was a 1930 graduate of Rogers High School, Newport. She is survived by her daughter, Mary F. Lopes of Middletown, RI; one brother, Frank Faria of Portsmouth, RI; two sisters, Carrie Rose of Dighton, MA, and Rose Peters of Bridgewater, MA; one grandson, Henry Lopes Jr.; two granddaughters, Karen Ripa and Kathleen Bogaars; one great grandson, Andrew Ripa; and two great granddaughters, Ashley Ripa and Allison Ripa.She was the sister of the late Tony Faria, Manuel Faria, Joseph Faria, Frances Medeiros Jennie Luiz and Annie Oliver. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Mar. 10, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport.
