Middletown, RI - Mary Frances White, 81, of 608 Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.She was the wife of George White. Born in Newport, RI on August 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Frances Escobar.Mrs. White was a member of the Rosary Sodality of Jesus Saviour Church. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. Besides her husband of 48 years, she is survived by her children, Stephen J White and his wife Grace of Westerly, RI, Michael P. White and his wife Mary of New York, NY, Andrew J. White of Riverside, RI, Tracey A. White of Middletown, RI and Matthew J. White and his wife Dianna of Middletown, RI, her grandson Carter Stephen White, and her brothers Joseph Escobar of Portsmouth, RI and Anthony Escobar of Middletown, RI.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
