Newport - Mary J. Christopher D?Andrea, 95, of Blenheim-Newport in Middletown, formerly of 16 Howard Street Newport, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 in Newport Hospital.She was the wife of the late Donato F. ?Duke? D?Andrea.Born in Montreal, Canada on May 5, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Angela Maria Testa Cristofaro.Mrs. D?Andrea worked as a seamstress for St. George?s School and was co-owner with Mary D?Andrea White of the former Two Mary?s Seamstress Shop on Franklin Street in Newport. She was a communicant of St. Mary?s Church and was a member of the former Catholic Daughters. Other memberships include the Sons of Italy, Newport Hospital Auxiliary, the Newport Senior Center and the Womens Republican Club. Mrs. D?Andrea also belonged to the Blenheim knitting group which made infant clothing items.She leaves her children Emilia M. Nichols of Somerset, MA, Donato ?Andre? D?Andrea of Newport, RI, and Angelina P. Chute of East Providence, RI. She was the grandmother of Christopher M. Chute of Acton, MA, Joseph A. D?Andrea of Kingston, MA, Jennifer A. D?Andrea of Ashland, MA, Jacquelyn A. D?Andrea of Framingham, MA, Paul D?Andrea of Portsmouth, RI and Daniel F. Nichols of East Providence, RI. She also leaves her great grandson, Patrick Chute of Acton, MA.Mrs. D?Andrea was the sister of the late Paolo Cristofaro, Paul Christopher, Josephine Cristofaro, Antoinette Garand, Joseph Villani, Yolande Gaudreau, and Archange Perrazino.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Mary?s Church Spring Street Newport.Burial will take place in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
