Portsmouth, RI - Mary Louise Camara Lemieux, 81, of 2340 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, passed on, Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the devoted wife of the late Paul A.J. Lemieux. Born in her family?s home in Portsmouth, RI on July 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Martin Camara.Mary was raised on the Glen Farm in Portsmouth. During WWII she met her husband while working at the Torpedo Station in Newport, RI. They moved back into the home were she was born after marrying Paul in 1945. She was active in the preservation of Glen Farm. Mary was a communicant of St. Anthony?s Church. She worked as an election supervisor in Portsmouth for many yearsShe was the loving, caring and devoted mother of Paul J. Lemieux of Pittsfield, CA, Roger D. Lemieux of Berkley, MA, David M. Lemieux and Lauren A. Lemieux both of Portsmouth, RI.She also leaves fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Mary was sister of the late Dorothy Case, Barbara Atkins and Geraldine Leis.Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 9:00AM from the Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road Portsmouth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Anthony?s Church 2836 East Main Road Portsmouth, RIRelatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8PMBurial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942
