Mary Margaret Venancio

Middletown, - Mary Margaret Silvia Venancio, 96, formerly of 32 Hoppin Road, Newport, RI, died Sunday, August 24, 2003 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Francis George Venancio. Born in Middletown, RI on November 27, 1906, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Mary Deniz Silveira Silvia. Mrs. Venancio was a Communicant of Jesus Saviour Church in Newport, and a memer of the Church Rosary Sodality. She was a former member of the VFW Auxillary and the URI Extension Homemakers Club. During WWII, Mrs. Venancio had worked as a seamstress at the Newport Naval Base. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and godchildren.She was the sister of the late Joseph Silvia, John Silvia, Elias Silvia and William J. Silvia, and the godmother of the late Francis J Silvia and William F. Silvia.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2003, at 7:30AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
