Mary R. Pasquale

Mary R. Silvia Pasquale, 87, of 34 Bayview Park, Middletown, formerly of North Champlin Place, Newport, died Friday, May 3, 2002 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Matthew S. Pasquale. Born in Newport, RI on February 14, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. Silvia and the late Mary Garcia Silvia. She had worked as an assembler at the former General Electric Monowatt Plant, in Newport for 33 years before retiring in 1980.Mrs. Pasquale has lived at Bayview Park since 1983. Mrs. Pasquale was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church, Newport, and was member of the Jesus Saviour Rosary Sodality. She was a former member of St. Josephs Senior Citizens, and had been very active as a blood drive volunteer at the Rhode Island Blood Center in Middletown for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Hart of Kissimee, FL, and Ann DuPonte Carr of Virginia Beach, VA; four brothers Frank Silvia of Newport, RI, Manuel Silvia of Newport, RI, Joseph Silvia of Middletown, RI, and Anthony Silvia of Newport; one sister Ann Calibani of Stoughton, MA; Eleven Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren; and Two Great-Great Grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Henry Silvia and Raymond Silvia. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport.
