Mary Therese Ferreira NEWPORT, RI - Mary Therese Ferreira, 89, of 507 Broadway, Newport, RI formerly of Third St, Newport, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on July 4, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Mary Vargas Ferreira.Ms. Ferreira worked as an office manager at JJ Newbury Store for 31 years, retiring in 1970. She then took a position as the audit clerk for the US Navy Officers Club from 1970-1982. She was a member of Jesus Saviour Church and the Jesus Saviour Rosary Sodality. She is survived by a nephew Joseph DeRocha of Connecticut. She was preceded in death by her sister Anna DaRocha. Her funeral will be held Monday, February 13, at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport.
