Middletown, RI - Mary Victoria (Perry) Dormoy Lawton, 101, formerly of 196 Wolcott Avenue, Middletown, RI, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at St. Clare Home, Newport. She was the wife of the late Roger J. Dormoy and the late Harry Lawton. Born in Portsmouth, RI on July 29, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Victoria M. (Deniz) Perry.Mrs. Lawton was a food server for 10 years at the Navy Exchange. She was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. Mary was a member of the VFW and the Ladies Auxillary for over 50 years. She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her daughters Nancy M. Campion of Portsmouth, RI and Martha Parker of South San Francisco, CA, her brother Anthony Perry of Manassas, VA, her sisters Anna Carreiro and Elsie V. Somerfield both of Middletown, RI, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was the mother of the late Roger J. Dormoy, Jr., and the sister of the late Antone Perry, Joseph S. Perry, Jr., Emily Keeher, Rose Culipher and Lucy Silvia. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 8:30-9:30 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held at 9:30, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.
