Maude Jean Carn Anderson Newport, RI - Maude Jean Carn Anderson, 78, of 9 Filmore Street, Newport, RI, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at the Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Ephriam Anderson. Born in St. Augustine, FL, on November 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Blanche Collins Carn.Mrs. Anderson had worked as a laundress for Swan Cleaners, White Cleaners and Jai Alai, for over 45 years, retiring in 2001. Mrs. Anderson loved to cook. She is survived by a sister Wilhemina Armond of Asbury Park, NJ, a nephew James Lawton of Newport, RI, five nieces Alice Williams of St. Augustine, FL, Hazel C. Pierce of Newport, RI, Betty Martin of Jacksonville, FL, Dorothy Powell of Chicopee, VA, and Blanche Carn of Chicopee, VA, and many grand nieces and grand nephews. She was also the sister of the late Henry Carn, Blanche Williams, and Betty Reid. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006, from 10-12 in the Memorial Funeral Home.
