Maude R. Kerr

Maude Riley Kerr died at her home on Friday, September 2, 2011, at the age of 95. She was born in Newport, Rhode Island on May 10, 1916, the daughter of the late Albert and Maude Riley Kerr. Ms. Kerr was a long time resident of Newport, and after graduating from Rogers High School she pursued a career in the retail business in Providence andNewport. She was a long time employee of Cherry and Webb on Bellevue Avenue and following her retirement from that organization continued her enjoyment of people through her Bed and Breakfast run from herhome on Kane Avenue on Eastons Point. Maudes keen enjoyment of her friends, Newport and its history will be a loss for those who knew her. Her sister Mrs. Arthur J. Roche of Newport predeceased her.She leaves two nephews, Albert K. Roche of Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada, and William J Roche of Newport. Special thanks to the support system of Angel Care for their dedication and loving care of her this past year.Funeral services are respectfully omitted.
