Maureen Ann Meader

Bristol, RI - Maureen Ann Barrett Meader, 57, of Lake Hiawath, NJ, died at St. Elizabeth?s Manor in Bristol, RI, on Monday, March 27, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of Valerie Barrett and the late John Barrett Sr.Maureen grew up in Dalton, MA and graduated from Wahconah Regional High School and Framingham State College. As a resident of Lyons, NE for 23 years, she was a school board member, the editor of the Lyons Mirror Sun Newspaper, and worked at Region Four, an organization for the mentally handicapped. She worked and livid in Chicage for 2 years and has resided in New Jersey for the past 7 years. Besides her mother, she is survived by her two sons, Mark Meader and his wife Amy and their two children Julianne and Charlotte form Virginig Beach, VA and Kevin Meader and his wife Angie and their daughter Jacqueline from Freemont, NE. She also leaves behind a sister, Kathy Hitchcock of Portsmouth, RI and a brother John Barrett Jr. of Lee, MA.
