Maureen Goodrich

Newport, RI - Maureen Goodrich, 79, of Newport, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center Newport, RI. Born in Providence, RI on April 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William B. Remarski and Mary Grace Remarski Dwyer.Maureen graduated from Attleboro High School in 1952. She received her RN in 1955 from the Newport School of Nursing. Maureen began work for Newport Hospital and then the Newport Navy Hospital and John Clarke Nursing Center. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a member of the RI Nurses Association, the Newport Hospital Alumni and the King Center in Newport. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Conlan of Middletown, RI, and Kelly OBrien of Wisconsin. Maureen was the grandmother of Tyler Conlan, Nina Greer, Amy Greer and Rebecca Greer and great grandmother to Peyton Greer.She was the mother of the late Lance Goodrich and sister of the late William B Remarski. Calling hours will be held on Friday May 31, 2013 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport, RI.
