Portsmouth, RI - Maurice E. Roberts, 63, of 470 Park Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, May 28, 2012 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, RI. He was the husband of Martha (Lemieux) Roberts. Born in Fall River, MA on September 16, 1948, he was the son of the late James F. Roberts and M. Kathleen Doyle Weir. He was active in both Little League and Pop Warner coaching multiple teams over a number of years; as well as running the Snack Shack for both over the years. He was an Army Veteran serving in Vietnam in the 82nd Airborne (All-Americans) and the 101st Airborne (Screaming Eagles). Besides his wife he leaves his children Madalyn Roberts and Megan Roberts both of Telluride, CO and Matthew Roberts of Portsmouth, RI. He also leaves his twin brother Peter Roberts and brothers Mark Roberts and Danny Griswold as well as his sister Kathleen Doyle.He was the brother of the late James Roberts III and Billy Griswold.
