Megan Kehew Baroni, 30, of 21 Allston Street, Charlestown, MA, died Monday, September 27, 2010 from a sudden illness. She passed on peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.Megan was the loving and devoted wife of her soul mate, Roland Angelo Baroni III. Roland and Megan met in 1999 at the College of the Holy Cross, a place Megan held dear to her heart. When they met, Roland was struck by Megans beauty, intelligence, and passion for life. The couple was married in 2005 and shared a deep and special bond that was immediately apparent to all those who had the privilege of enjoying their company. They shared many happy memories of traveling, laughing, and loving as they began to build their life together. Born in Hartford, CT on December 4, 1979, she was the loving daughter of Michael P. and Maura Kelly Kehew of Middletown, RI. Megan and her three younger sisters, Elizabeth Kehew of Newport, RI, Erin Kehew of Boston, MA, and Brenna Kehew of Washington, DC were raised in Middletown, R.I. As the eldest, Megan provided her sisters with ongoing wisdom and support. She helped mold the girls to become the women they are today, and as a devoted friend and mentor, she touched countless other lives. Megan was a 1997 graduate of St. Georges High School where she began to develop a love of sailing and continued her love of learning. She became an avid sailor and was a proud member of the J24 Rolex Womens International Keelboat Championship Team in 1999 in Newport. Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in 2001. She was active in the college community both during and after her time at Holy Cross. She served as class chair and participated in the Choir, an acapella group, and the sailing and rugby teams. Megan attended the Boston Architecture College where she would have graduated in 2011 with a Masters degree in Architecture. Megan worked as a project manager at LPBA Architects, Inc. of Boston, MA for the past four years.Besides her husband, parents, and sisters, she is survived by her grandparents, Eileen Mannion Kelly of Glen Cove, NY, and Peter L. and Colette Gendreau Kehew of Portsmouth, RI, her in-laws Roland and Lisa Kingsley Baroni of Armonk, NY and her sister-in-law Melissa Baroni of Boston, MA.She will be remembered as a tenacious and fabulous young woman. Megan accomplished in 30 years what the rest of us can only hope to achieve in a lifetime. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 2-8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010, at 9:30am from the Memorial Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.
