Michael D. Kratochwill

NEWPORT- Michael D. Kratochwill, 53, of 31 Warner Street, Apt. 2, died unexpectedly on November 7, 2005, at Newport Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1952 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. He was the son of Ardy Daughhetee Kratochwill and the late James Kratochwill.Mr. Kratochwill served in the United States Navy during Vietnam, retiring as a diver after 20 years. He was a massage therapist at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Goat Island in Newport. He loved being on the ocean, especially fishing and boating. Mr. Kratochwill was a wonderful cook, a great baker and he shared that gift with many people. He touched many people with his kindness. He leaves a son Talon Kratochwill and a daughter Jennah Kratochwill both of Newport, three brothers Gary Kratochwill and his wife Kathleen of Napa, ID, David Kratochwill and his wife Linda of Duluth, MN, and Douglas Kratochwill and his wife Chris of Richland Center, WI, his sister Deanna Kratochwill Nitka and her husband Ken, six nieces and nephews, his girlfriend of 4 years Suzanne Easterbrooks and many many friends. His memorial service will be held on Monday November 14, 2005 at 6:00PM in The Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
