Michael J. "Mickey" Ripa

Tiverton, RI - Michael J. (Mickey) Ripa, 57, of Tiverton, died Thursday, December 12, 2013, at St. Annes Hospital Fall River, MA.He was the husband of Elizabeth (Paice) Ripa. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary August 4th, 2014.Born in Newport, RI on January 19, 1956, he was the son of Carmelo Ripa and the late Charlotte (Pressler) Ripa.Mr. Ripa was a 1974 graduate of Middletown High School. He worked for 35 years for Raytheon Company, most recently as a machine shop inspector. Mick was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Green Valley Country Club. He also loved to cook, travel to tropical places, summer Sundays on the beach and was a one hundred percent New England Sports fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brothers, Carl Ripa of West Palm Beach, FL, and Ronald Ripa of Lake Worth, FL, his sister Denise Silva and her husband William of Bristol, RI, three nieces, Kristen Silva, Haley Ripa and Lindsey Ripa, his nephew Matthew Silva and his great nephew Anthony Ford.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 2-3pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, with a service to be held at 3 pm.Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in his name.
