Mildred E. Bliven

Middletown, - Mildred E. Bliven, 93, of the John Clarke Nursing Center, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, formerly of Brinley Street, Newport, died Friday, January 24, 2003, at the John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, RI. Born in Newport, RI, on April 8, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Elizabeth Harrington Bliven. Ms. Bliven had worked as a clerk at the former Grants Department Store in Newport. She is survived by one nephew and two nieces. She was the sister of the late Walter L. Bliven Jr., Gordon Bliven, Ethel Pohl, Marguerite Lawton, and Dorothy Roderick. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at 10AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
