Newport, - Mildred Joyce Lombard Glover, 48, of 3 B Kingston Avenue Newport, died Friday, January 17, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on Jul. 29, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth Pictou Lombard. Ms. Glover attended the Newport Schools. She worked at Heatherwood Health Care Center as a CNA. She went on to work for the Main Stay Best Western in the housekeeping department for 5 years. Ms. Glover was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and her grandchildren. She is survived by her son James A.Glover of Newport, RI, two Eboni M. Owen and Elizabeth S. Walls both of Newport, RI, her brother Victor Lombard Jr. of Newport, RI, three sisters Georgianna Gomes of Harrisburg, PA, Elizabeth L. Bond of Louisville, KY, and Charlene Peer of Newport, RI, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephewsHer funeral and burial will be private.
