Mildred L. Tierno

Middletown, RI - Mildred L. Coble Tierno, 81, of Wood Road, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Francis R. Tierno. Born in Wadesboro, NC on October 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jackson Leroy Coble and Pearl Quick Coble.Mrs. Tierno worked as a housekeeper for 15 years at Salve Regina University. She was previously employed at RCA in Camden, NJ, the former Grinder Shop and Spaghetti House for 9 years and the former Captains Chair Restaurant as a cook. Mrs. Tierno enjoyed gardening, working outside, her neighbors and their pets. She was always someone willing to lend a helping hand. Besides her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her two nephews, Henry J. Tierno, III and his wife Nancy of Middletown, RI, and Anthony F. Tierno and his wife Diana of Cranston, RI, her brother, Jerry Coble of Winter Haven, FL, her brother-in-law, Henry J. Tierno, Jr. of Middletown, RI, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.She was the sister of the late Herbert J. Coble. Her funeral will be private.
