Mildred M. Brosnahan

NEWPORT, RI - Mildred M. Carter Brosnahan, 83, of 190 Girard Avenue, Newport, RI, formerly of Shangri-La Lane, Middletown, RI, died unexpectedly, Monday, July 18, 2005, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in South Boston, MA on April 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine Uftring Carter. Mrs. Brosnahan worked as a secretary for Herbert W. Smith Insurance Company in Newport for many years. But it was for Newport Roofing that she worked for the last 31 years, still working part time up to this year. Over the years she enjoyed going bowling and spending time at Second Beach. She is survived by her sons James Brosnahan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Robert Brosnahan of Portsmouth, RI, her daughter in-law Denise Brosnahan, and her grandchildren Sandra Brosnahan and Robert Brosnahan all of Portsmouth, RI.
